Switzerland SailGP Team returns to Bermuda this weekend, for the Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix, May 4-5. Racing takes place 19:00 - 20:30 CEST / 14:00 - 15:30 ADT and fans in SUI can watch all the action live on Blue Sport or You Tube. Fans on the Island will enjoy a new Race Stadium location at Morgan's Point, bringing spectators even closer to the F50s and action.

This trip marks the second time on the Island for the Swiss. The team first raced on Bermuda's Great Sound two years ago, making its SailGP debut at the start of Season 3. CEO Tanguy Cariou said: "Bermuda is a special place for us, it's where it all started on the water for Switzerland SailGP Team. We've come a long way since the start of Season 3 in May 2022, we've raced at 20 events around the world - and now we have only four left for this season. There's been highs and lows as we've been learning this style of racing, but we've had fun and always try to learn from each venue to move forward."

Swiss driver, Nathan Outteridge is also familiar with the Island. Outteridge said: "I'm looking forward to racing again on the Great Sound in Bermuda. I have some great memories for my time sailing here. It's such a fantastic sailing venue with great conditions and a place that I always enjoy coming back to.

"We [Switzerland SailGP Team] made some great progress at the last event in Christchurch, we managed to stay out of trouble and had our best result of the season. I'm hoping that we build on this here in Bermuda and keep working our way towards the front of the fleet. The weather looks great, we will be racing nice and close to the shore, and we should have some good racing."

Swiss flight controller, Nicolas Rolaz and wing trimmer, Will Ryan, will make their SailGP Bermuda racing debut. Laurane Mettraux (strategist) and grinders, Julien Rolaz, Eliot Merceron and Jérémy Bachelin sailed their first ever SailGP race on the Island, two years ago.

Supporting the team remotely from France is Swiss co-driver, Sebastien Schneiter. Schneiter stepped back as driver for the remainder of Season 4 to focus on his Paris 2024 Olympic campaign in the 49er class.

The 10 team's hit the water today for a series of official practice races. Drama came during the third and final race of the day, when en-route to the first rounding mark Team USA capsized. No serious injuries were sustained by any of the athletes but the team's wingsail suffered significant damage during the impact and remains under review. More news at sailgp.com.

After Bermuda, the SailGP fleet will head to Halifax for the first ever Rockwool Canada Sail Grand Prix | Halifax on 1-2 June. Followed by New York and the Season 4 Finale in San Francisco in July.
