One regatta remains to secure the final country qualification spots for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The Last Chance Regatta will take place in Hyères, France as a part of French Olympic Week, with racing April 21-27. 50 spots are up for grabs across 10 Olympic sailing classes, and the United States is working to qualify as a country in the three remaining classes needed to round out a full Olympic Team: Men's iQFOiL, Men's Formula Kite, and ILCA 7.

Athlete selection was completed in Miami earlier this year at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Sailing, where Noah Lyons, Markus Edegran, and Ford McCann were selected, respectively. To secure their spot at Paris 2024, any American must finish as a top three country in the ILCA 7, and as a top five country in the Men's Formula Kite and Men's iQFOiL to complete country qualification for their class.

French Olympic Week will also host a separate, Qualified Nations regatta for the countries already qualified for Paris 2024. Competing for extra sparring practice are nine US Sailing Team athletes and two additional American representatives. Since these athletes are racing in classes that have already secured country qualification, their participation is valuable training in the lead up to the Games or for the start of their campaign for LA 2028.
