Live Ocean Racing - More tight, tactical racing in Spain in ETF26

After another five races on Day 2 of the final ETF26 Series event in Los Alcazares, Spain Live Ocean Racing is lying 6th, on equal points with the boat in 5th.

Day 2 produced similar, but slightly less breeze than day one for the fleet of fast foiling cats sailing in Spain.

The New Zealand team led by Liv Mackay saved their best result until the final race of the day where they placed 3rd. On board with Mackay is the talented combination of Alex Maloney, Seb Menzies and Serena Woodall.

Across the other four races sailed today Live Ocean Racing placed 5th, 4th, 7th and 6th.

"Again, it was really tactical, tight racing which was super fun. Definitely a lot of positive moments for us," said Mackay.

"It was definitely a bit lighter than yesterday, around 7-10 knots of breeze. We did three upwind start races and then two reaching start races, so slightly more breeze at the end of the day. It was marginal foiling conditions all day."

"I think being on the heavier side, and the only team with four people was definitely a challenge in these conditions... so we're just trying to learn as much as we can from that and really utilise the last two days of racing."

Live Ocean Racing is effectively tied for 5th place at the end of Day 2, on equal points with Toroa Racing. Entreprises du Morbihan was dominant and extended their lead on the fleet winning four of today's races. Behind them is TeamPro, with Fin1Racing moving into 3rd.

Racing resumes tomorrow with two more days in the regatta.
