Our team is racing past construction benchmarks on Tarheel. Now blanketed in final primer, the faux teak drip-molding helm pod, and toe rail were installed in March, which has really brought her exterior appearance to life.
As for the cockpit, it's progressing at a rapid pace. The teak coverboards were installed in late March and the teak cockpit deck is currently under way. The tuna door is being fitted, and the Gameboat crew is gas-shocking mezzanine lids.
On Tarheel's interior, our electrical department is in the process of wiring the transformers and finalizing the bridge panel. The interior cabinetry department has been hard at work on the upper and lower level cabinetry, installing everything from galley cabinetry to stateroom bunks. Soon, the granite countertops will be patterned and cut.
Our mechanical crew is in the process of installing all pump room components and finalizing the air handlers and chiller lines. The machine tunnel is nearly complete, and both fuel tanks are hooked up. Next on our crew's list is the installation of the main engine exhaust, bow thruster motor and a Willy Vac® system for the engine room.
