The breakwater could make or break the viability of a marina. Designing and constructing the right breakwater must not only shield vessels from excessive waves and currents but also provide an effective hydrological solution to ensure the environmental and economic sustainability of the marina.
This webinar will highlight what marinas need to know about breakwater design and construction and also how to maintain a breakwater so it lasts.

Andrew Hartley - Project Manager, MGN Civil
Andrew is an experienced and qualified Engineer and Project Manager. Recent projects Andy has worked on over the past seven years include repairing/upgrading 25 breakwater/training wall/groynes, four marine contamination remediation projects and over 15 dredging projects.
Andy was also a dual ticketed Captain and Engineer on numerous vessels (bunker barge, ferries, tugs, construction barges, crane barges, crew training vessels, yachts, fishing vessels etc) operating on the east coast of Australia. Prior to Andy's career with MGN he delivered many Government Marine Infrastructure as a respected Senior Engineer for NSW Crown Lands and the NSW RMS Marine Infrastructure Delivery Office (MIDO).
