Innovation Redefines Yacht Design with Princess's Revolutionary R35
On road, in the air, or on water, rarely does a new form of luxury transport arrive that genuinely changes perceptions, challenges expectations and delivers a new experience. The R35 from Princess Yachts does exactly that and heralds in a new era for the storied company's product offering and the yacht market as a whole.
The R35 is the first Princess R Class performance sports yacht. Designed and hand-built in Plymouth, England, it combines revolutionary performance capabilities, stunning design, quality, and race-bred technology to deliver a unique on-water experience at all speeds.
Designed in partnership with world-famous Ben Ainslie Racing Technologies (BAR Technologies) and Pininfarina, the R35 is a powerful expression of intent from a company hitting a rich vein of form: Princess Yachts, renowned for British craftsmanship and engineering pedigree, is experiencing record financial results and order books as the R35 is brought to market. Now is the ideal time to reveal its most technologically advanced and significant sports yacht ever.
- Just as 'race to road' principles underpin the world's greatest supercars, America's Cup technology drives the R35's game-changing performance
- Ground-breaking Princess Active Foil System (AFS) developed with BAR Technologies optimises stability and manoeuvrability in all sea conditions, allowing for a much lower drag hull form to re-define ride comfort and high-speed cornering ability
- Revolutionary new lightweight carbon-fibre monocoque hull structure designed in collaboration with legendary Italian styling house Pininfarina – a name synonymous with many of the world's most beautiful and valuable cars
- Advanced aerodynamics represented by visually defining side air blades that maximise engine airflow, while managing vortices and turbulence at the stern of the yacht to improve comfort
- State-of-the-art twin all aluminium, direct injection V8 petrol engines with variable valve timing and fully CNC machined intake and exhaust ports provide exceptional levels of torque and responsiveness to safely power the R35 to an exhilarating 50 knots†: the fastest-ever Princess
- Sumptuous bespoke Princess interiors designed for luxury living at sea paired with innovative equipment including glass panel helm, prestigious Naim audio and Esthec floors
- 24/7 Princess Lifeline assistance anywhere in the world complimentary for two years
"The R35 is a rare mix of extreme elegance and technology. Often design is a triumph of beauty over function or function over beauty. Princess has been able to develop a technologically game-changing yacht that is also stunningly beautiful. It is in every way a new experience, yet also instantly recognisable as a Princess." - Antony Sheriff, Executive Chairman of Princess Yachts.
Princess S78 – the Ultimate Yacht for Entertaining
The all-new Princess S78 will take the mantle as the flagship of the Princess S Class range of exhilarating sportbridge yachts which perfectly balance luxury and scintillating performance.
From the moment you step aboard she impresses with her grand central access to the cockpit. The versatile modular seating and sociable galley-aft arrangement create a haven of relaxation whilst providing the perfect space for entertaining al fresco. This area is an audiophile's dream with a specially designed sound system and acoustics from the world-renowned NAIM Audio.
A resin-infused hull delivers exceptional performance with breath-taking agility up to 39 knots†. When at anchor, peacefulness descends onto her generously appointed deck areas whilst her hydraulic bathing platform and 4.45m tender garage with integrated tender launch system become the perfect base for watersports.
Her sportbridge inspires, with a range of unique furnishings to choose from and companion seating areas that convert into sun loungers. The foredeck area also features innovative seating with sunpads which can be converted to create additional aft facing seats.
Her cavernous main deck saloon with fluid lines and relaxed seating seamlessly connects to the world outside through full length side windows.
Below deck eight guests enjoy four beautifully appointed ensuite cabins all bathed in natural light from elegant hull glazing, with a further twin cabin aft for occasional guests or crew.
The fluid exterior graphic of the S78 silhouette is unmistakably S Class, from the trapezoidal stateroom and knife hull windows to the pronounced rear haunches and swept back fly screen, its powerful yet elegant form generates a dynamic, agile stance.
All of the traditional qualities of craftsmanship and refinement are displayed and reinvented in a deliberately more involving, integrated interior concept. Clean flowing precise lines accentuate the spear-less double curvature deckhouse glazing and soft facetted geometry defines the interior joinery to create a truly captivating environment.
The very essence of S Class is powerful, exhilarating and precise - yet timelessly elegant and sophisticated; S Class blends iconic design, exceptional engineering and unrivalled craftsmanship to create an unforgettable, emotional experience.
The Striking New Princess F70
Make way for the latest addition to the well-established Flybridge range – the Princess 70. This sleek, elegant and spacious yacht is a beautifully proportioned flybridge that lends itself perfectly to socialising and entertaining family and friends with spacious beautifully appointed interior and exterior spaces.
The generous 26.6m2 flybridge features a large U-shaped dining area, served by a fully-equipped wetbar with barbecue, aft sunpad and a forward seating area adjacent to the helm that also converts into a sunbed. Clever use of space ensures distinct areas to relax and socialise in.
On the main deck, an aft galley arrangement opens out towards the cockpit, offering a sociable al fresco dining solution with a more formal dining table in the saloon, easily isolated into two separate spaces, thanks to large glass sliding doors. Huge panoramic windows flood the space with natural light and bring the outside world in. On the foredeck, there is a forward facing sofa and table, as well as a spacious sun pad – the perfect private space to enjoy an aperitif and watch the sun go down.
Forward in the saloon are two more seating areas, as well as a 49" LED TV and entertainment system. A pantograph door allows the helmsman easy access to the side decks from the helm station; sleek and equipped with top-of-the-range Raymarine touchscreens and plotters. The lower deck boasts 4 beautifully-appointed cabins, including a full beam master stateroom aft with a dedicated private staircase, a forward VIP guest cabin and 2 twin cabins. Windows throughout the lower accommodation areas ensure the cabins are bright, and opening portholes allow fresh air in to all the cabins.
The Flybridge class is known for its focus on enjoyment combined with efficiency, attributable to the variable deadrise hull form, which provides greater lift and less drag, enabling her to achieve lower planing speeds while still reaching up to 36 knots† with her MAN V12 1400mhp engines. An impressive fuel capacity of 4,100 litres ensures a plethora of cruising options across all parts of the globe.
