The Marina Industries Association (MIA) is pleased to announce that Gold Coast Waterways Authority (GCWA) will be an active partner in next year's International Marina Conference and Trade Exhibition (Marinas19) taking place on the Gold Coast 27-28 May 2019.
Marinas19 Committee Chairman Mike Harvey said it was very good for the industry to have GCWA associated with the conference. "Marinas in most instances are very dependent on having well managed waterways for their boating clients. GCWA's strong presence at the conference will facilitate the attendance of similar waterways management organisations to Marina19 and contribute to the sharing of knowledge and best practices".
MIA Executive Officer Colin Bransgrove said GCWA will lead stream sessions on various aspects of waterways management. GCWA will also showcase some of their operational practices for the benefit of the many visiting delegates to the conference who participate in the field trip 29 May.
Hal Morris, CEO of the Gold Coast Waterways Authority said, "The number of vessel registrations is on the rise, and with increased population growth projected on the Gold Coast it is important that waterway managers come together to foster innovative solutions to delivering a resilient Gold Coast waterway, we hope that by partnering with Marinas19 we can start to build the conversation".
