Hi all October is the start of the development season for YachtsandYachting.com. One of the first things we've been working on is a new method of displaying the photo galleries on event reports. I'd really appreciate it if you can try out the following articles on your computers and report back any problems you find, or any suggestions you have. If you do find problems, please mention which operating system and web browser you are using and, if possible, post a screen-grab of the problem. You can actually test article by adding a 3 after the /news part of the URL (the 3 is due to it being version 3 of the news layout since we changed to the new style site). Ah yes, I should have said that I've disabled it in IE7 & IE8! Do you see the main photo with no gallery? |

Thanks for the feedback everyone. It works really well on my Nexus 7, but at the moment Safari on the ipad isn't detecting the gallery button presses - I'm looking into that one... |

Hi all I've done as much testing and tweaking as I can on this and now set it live. All news articles should now have the new style gallery on them if there are more photos to show. Give me a shout if you find any problems, other than the left / right buttons on ipad safari not working which I'm aware of! Many thanks, Mark |

I notice that if you click on one of the photos its not easy to go back to the selection and pick or scroll through others, that or I am missing something as I end up using back button (pretty long winded) ------------- Musto Skiff and Solo sailor |

Hi Neptune I think it must be me that's missing something! I've made it so that you can't click on photos on the new slider. | Is there a currently a problem with this website? Currently it is taking over 20 seconds for news items to load. I have notice this for a few days. However there is no apparent functionality problems with other areas of the website, e.g. the Forum, links to clubs and to classes. All pretty instant. My broadband is working at over 30 Mpbs. |
