As the chief Laser Wrangler at my club, I have 4 for the use of club members, all of which have dagger boards that are bleeding rust.
Every year I rub them down and spray them over to get them through the next season. This year I don't feel like doing it and noting that the club Fevas have aluminium extrusion dagger boards of a section similar to the laser but too short in the chord I thought I'd ask is anyone knows of any other dinghy with aluminium extrusion dagger boards that would fit. I then could source the section and cut it to length. I can make any end caps necessary. Any ideas?........I could do the same for the rudders as well.

The Laser dagger board is an unusually long chord, certainly by modern standards and the hull slot is shaped so I would have thought not a chance. I have to ask the question why? Bit of tea bag staining won't stop the boat working. |
