Topper deck scratch

   Looking at a potential topper purchase but it has a long and deep looking scratch across the foredeck which spoils an otherwise nice boat. I've seen lots of tips on repairing scratches to the bottom and using a heat gun to restore faded decks, but nothing about scratches on the deck. Has anyone repaired this successfully before?

	Toppers easy to pick up for a reasonable price, reasonable condition, not worth the hassle.

	+1 unless it's cheap. OTOH it's unlikely to be anything other than cosmetic. You could repair it with a heat gun but I doubt you could replicate the textured finish so it may not be worth the bother. Edited by Sam.Spoons - 20 Sep 17 at 10:58am

	Fair comments. It's very cheap for the sail number but on balance I'm probably best buying based on condition rather than age. Thanks guys.
