Looking at a potential topper purchase but it has a long and deep looking scratch across the foredeck which spoils an otherwise nice boat. I've seen lots of tips on repairing scratches to the bottom and using a heat gun to restore faded decks, but nothing about scratches on the deck. Has anyone repaired this successfully before?

Toppers easy to pick up for a reasonable price, reasonable condition, not worth the hassle.

+1 unless it's cheap. OTOH it's unlikely to be anything other than cosmetic. You could repair it with a heat gun but I doubt you could replicate the textured finish so it may not be worth the bother.

Fair comments. It's very cheap for the sail number but on balance I'm probably best buying based on condition rather than age. Thanks guys.
