The AC boats are big enough that GPS is a lot more accurate in terms of boat lengths.
They are also faster and more consistent in their speed.
They probably also have much better equipment.

These are the sort of trackers we are using,  around 100 @,  so on a different scale to AC but allows us to bring some of the Sports Presentation Techniques seen at the top of sport to a much wider range of events

what would happen if a competitor didn't want to participate in being 'tracked'?  Are they refused entry?
