British Powerboat Festival secures Worldwide TV deal!

Round Britain 2012
UIM BPRC Marathon World Cup races at next weekend’s British Powerboat Festival, powered by RB12.com, will be available to over 500 million households following a landmark agreement between the event organisers, the BPRC (British Powerboat Racing Club) and Isle of Man-based production company, Greenlight Television.

The August Bank Holiday event features two marathon races including, on Sunday 29th, the Cowes Torquay Cowes, one of the most demanding endurance challenges in world power-boating. More than 30 boats from across Europe have entered, guaranteeing spectacular and closely contested race action.

'Through the use of land-based, aerial and on-board cameras, we expect the final programme to provide a breath-taking insight into the drama and skill involved in powerboat racing,' explains Race Director John Moore. 'The worldwide distribution includes a one hour show that will appear in Italy and on Sky Sports in the UK.'

The Cowes Torquay Cowes - celebrating its 50th anniversary this year - is among the oldest sporting events in Britain and one of the UK’s only surviving motorsport endurance classics.

The Festival begins on Thursday 26th August with the RB12.com Race Village open from 9am.
