Mercury Marine is pleased to announce that Wayne Meade has been appointed as the company’s new Territory Manager in Queensland.

Wayne has already started in the role, which is based at the Gold Coast Marine Precinct.

Wayne has an extensive background in sales and account management, having worked at Sundown Marine, Noyes Motor Cycles & Power Equipment, Norbar Tools and Tsubaki Australia.

'It’s very exciting to be working for a brand which has legendary status in its industry,' Wayne said.

'It’s certainly going to be a challenge, there’s no doubt about that, but Mercury has great products backed by a great team – you can’t ask for more.'

Wayne was welcomed to Mercury Marine by John Temple, Mercury Marine’s General Manager, Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific.

'Wayne certainly has the runs on the board when it comes to selling high-tech, high performance equipment,' Mr Temple said.

'There’s no doubt he’ll help us go from strength to strength in such an important market.'

The Darwinism of Boat Shows
Maslow's Hierarchy afloat My father owned a boat before he owned a car. My first boating trip was on board a converted Chinese junk named The Three Coins. My clearly brave mother allowed my father to take us all out for the day onto Hong Kong Harbour. I was 10 days old. On that day, a small part of my father’s passion for the sea and everything boating passed to me.
