DreamBoat – eco-friendly, economical

by Media Services on 27 Apr 2014
DreamBoat 1 ..
Just one of many ergonomic and organic designs from this creative Frenchman, the DreamBoat concept is a collective work by designer Matthieu Tarrit, Alexandre Lecointre and Julien Marie.

The design is a 12m motor boat propelled by two electric engines connected with hydrojet turbines. The energy is supplied by Fuel-cell conversion; the hydrogen reacts with oxygen to produce electricity for the two electric motors.

The boat has been designed to offer the maximum contact with the ocean. Its windows offer a panoramic view to its surrounds.

The boat would use materials like aluminium, wood and bio-composites to minimise its impact on the environment. The organic shape was designed to fit in with the marine environment.

Beneteau GT40 – Two words, one powerful acronym, and a hell of a boat!
So yes, it is all so very apt with Beneteau’s super sleek Gran Turismo 40 So yes, it is all so very apt with Beneteau’s super sleek Gran Turismo 40. Now it is also true that it’s made even more so because it was Italian designers Nuvolari and Lenard that gave the vessel her smart looks to match the words from their language. However, reigning supreme over it all is that the craft stays true to the original premise of what the term actually means.

Flares and distress signals
Visual Distress Signals are part of your boat's safety equipment. Check them before you leave harbor for condition Visual Distress Signals (V.D.S.) are part of your boat's safety equipment. Check them before you leave harbor for condition and if they have an expiration date, be sure they are current. Their intended purpose is to summon help should the need arise and should be displayed only when immediate or potential danger exists. Visual distress signals can only be effective when someone can see them.
