Welcome aboard and hopefully we have another edition of Powerboat-World with plenty of content to maintain your interest. While it might be ‘smooth sailing’ as you cruise through our pages, the same could not be said for the competitors in the opening race of the 2011 Australian Offshore Superboat Championships. We have images and reports from the weekend.
 | Maritimo - Offshore Superboat Championships Newcastle 2011 - Andrew Gricks | Down south, on the Murray River, to be precise, the ski race team of ‘Hellbent’ has been crowned King of the Murray after winning the Mildura 100 in record time. ‘Hellbent’ and its skiers, Jason Walmsley and Peter Proctor, knocked three seconds off the old record. For the keen angler, well, there’s something here that will make you start packing to head north.
 | Boy Bradstreet was more than content with this superb barramundi, a 99cm (38inch) specimen. - Barramundi fishing - Arnhemland Lodge | The award-winning Arnhemland Barramundi Nature Lodge tells us the barra are 'going ballistic'. Even former Australian cricket captain, Mark Taylor, was among the action and by all reports he handles tackle as well as he handled a bat. Marine Rescue NSW knows what makes a good and reliable rescue vessel; with Steber and Yanmar reliability goes without saying. We’ll reveal the organisation’s new rig right here. Trust our readers enjoyed a peaceful (and chocolate-filled?) Easter and that our veterans met up with their mates and celebrated ANZAC Day. By the way, there’s a couple of stories I’m working on that aren’t quite ready; they will be in a day or two, so don’t forget to drop by; you must know by now that we update very regularly. Enjoy, see you all again soon.
