Hard to believe that the first month of 2010 is about to pass by. Maybe the old saying that time flies when you're having fun rings true?
On to more important matters, like powerboat news from around the world and I think there's something to interest everyone.
News from Europe on the P1 scene, from the Middle East and Formula 2 and in Singapore an Asia-Pacific Superyacht organisation is on the cusp of being formed.
In Australia, anglers and tourism bodies will be pleased to see that environment minister Peter Garrett has backed away from controversial plans to again limit fishing along the Great Barrier Reef.
And we've got one for the greenies – Canadian boat manufacturer Campion has perfected the world's first ‘bio boat', operating on bio diesel and built from renewable resources. The Campion Allante 645i is certainly a story worth telling.
In the United States, that nation's water ski association has named its ‘chosen few', the specialist ski boats that have been honoured as official tow boats for the 2010 season. Four boats from three manufacturers have been accorded the top rating.
In Australia, crews are hard at work readying their boats and engines for the April opening round of the Offshore Superboat Championships.
Bill Barry-Cotter, owner of the championship-winning Maritimo team, ever mindful of the tragic accident in Dubai last year that claimed two lives, has ordered extensive strengthening of the cockpit areas aboard all his boats.
It's all here, all in the pages of Powerboat-World and it's here for you every week.
If it's news and it's powerboat-related, you know exactly where you'll find it, right?
