Roads and Maritime Services NSW advise motorists and boaters of changed traffic conditions on and under the Spit Bridge, Middle Harbour in June and July for bridge span lift system improvement work.
The bridge will not open to marine traffic from Monday 18 June to Sunday 1 July, inclusive.
The road and pedestrian path will be closed to motorists for up to three hours between 1am and 4am on Monday 18 June and Monday 2 July. Bus services will be detoured.
Partial road closures will also be in place for up to three hours before and two hours after the full closure on these dates.
Road users will be able to access the bridge during partial closures. Traffic control and a 40km/h speed limit will be in place.
In the event of wet weather, work will be carried out on Tuesday 19 June and Tuesday 3 July.
Work was scheduled to be carried out earlier in May and June but was delayed due to wet weather.
Motorists are advised to plan their journey, allow extra travel time and obey all signs.
