Club Marine, Australia’s largest provider of pleasure craft insurance, together with the Australian Maritime College (AMC) in Launceston, Tasmania, is delighted to offer scholarships for studies commencing in 2012 within the National Centre for Maritime Engineering and Hydrodynamics.

As part of Club Marine’s commitment to investing in the future of the Australian maritime and boating industry, the company has worked closely with the AMC to identify courses that best reflect its values and purpose.

Club Marine Victoria State Manager, Ross Lambrick encourages students to apply for the one-year Club Marine Scholarships if they have a keen interest in marine engineering.

'Club Marine is proud of its association with AMC and pleased to be able to offer these scholarships to students who may otherwise have difficulty in pursuing a tertiary qualification without such financial support.' said Lambrick.

At AMC, students are taught by industry-leading experts and gain access to some of the best facilities in the world. AMC says it can give students the necessary experience and skills to work anywhere they choose in the global maritime and marine industries. Lecturers are from a wide range of backgrounds including industrial positions, ship operations, marine science, maritime management and small vessel design and operation.

AMC, an institute of the University of Tasmania, has three national centres each focusing on a different aspect of maritime and marine industries. The Club Marine Scholarships will be awarded to students intending to study at the National Centre for Maritime Engineering and Hydrodynamics towards a Bachelor of Engineering -- Naval Architecture; Ocean Engineering; or Marine and Offshore Engineering.
