The Dubai International Boat Show, the Middle East’s largest and longest running leisure marine event, has confirmed that a record number of Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss) members will be part of the show’s 20th anniversary celebrations, 13 – 17 March.

The event will be held at the Dubai International Marine Club, Mina Seyahi, and event organisers, Dubai World Trade Centre, has stated that an unprecedented 11 members have already booked their space, with even more expected in the coming weeks.

Joining exhibitors are Abeking & Rasmussen, AMELS, Benetti, CRN, Feadship, Fincantieri, Heesen Yachts, Lurssen, Oceanco, Sanlorenzo and Trinity Yachts will all showcase their latest yacht models and designs. The dedicated SYBAss Pavillions have been further enhanced for the 20th Anniversary after the highly successful launch in 2011, set in the heart of the show within the Marina Display Area.

'It comes as no surprise to us that the 20th Dubai International Boat Show is attracting so many world class superyacht builders,' said Michael Breman, Sales Director, Lurssen Yachts.

'For Lurssen, the event has always been an excellent opportunity to showcase our most innovative and sophisticated yachts and introduce the brand to an equally sophisticated audience. This is not only the most important marine industry event in the Middle East, over 20 years it has become a must-attend event for global players.'

Helal Saeed Almarri, CEO of Dubai World Trade Centre added: 'The Dubai International Boat Show is known for the range and reach of its high calibre international exhibitors and the event has become the most accurate gauge and effective driver of the regional marine market. The show brings together buyers, builders and distributors from around the world and joins some of the highest net worth individuals with some of the most luxurious boats and yachts available.'

Alongside the SYBAss Pavillion collection Dubai International Boat Show will host more than 750 international and regional exhibiting companies and brands. Leading shipyard Westport makes a welcome return, while North Africa’s latest shipyard, Koot yachts, is among the many first time exhibitors including such well-known names as Al Rubban and AM Shipyard. Key exhibitors including Al Shaali Marine, ART Marine, Aquaspeed, Azimut, Cummins, Emirates Boats, Gulf Craft – who are celebrating their 30th anniversary – Princess Yachts and Sunseeker also ensure that the 2012 Dubai International Boat Show will be the most successful yet.

A strong international presence is a key theme in 2012. Exhibitors from more than 40 countries will be taking part including debut appearances from several new nations from as far afield as Madagascar and Tunisia.

'The exclusive location, select set-up and high profile visitors of the Dubai International Boat Show give us the perfect opportunity to promote our yachts and reach local and worldwide potential buyers. Oceanco is pleased to support the event again and will be showcasing in preview some of our latest yacht scale model concepts at the 20th Anniversary of the Dubai Show,' said Marcel Onkenhout, CEO, Oceanco.

The Dubai International Boat Show welcomes back for the third consecutive year, one of the world’s most elite watch brands, Officine Panerai as a supporting partner and also for the third year in a row, Mercedes-Benz is supporting the event as the official show car.
