Sydney Harbour Bridge resurfacing - Navigate with caution

The Sydney Harbour Bridge will be closed to general traffic for up to three weekends in January and vessels are advised to proceed with caution when navigating below the bridge.

From 10pm Friday until 5am Monday, 13-16, 20-23, 27-30 January 2012, the Bridge will be closed to allow it to be resurfaced and waterproofed. In extreme wet weather the work will not proceed.

Vessels are advised to proceed with caution when travelling in the vicinity of the bridge, and to beware of small falling particles and/or droplets when navigating below the bridge. Vessel operators are advised not to linger under the bridge while the works are in progress.

Boating Safety Officers will be monitoring the work and will be on standby to assist and advise vessel operators as necessary.

RMS apologises for any inconvenience to drivers and boat operators.
