For the first time in the 48-year history of the 24 Heures Motoautiques Rouen an all-female racing team will compete to conquer the River Seine. The worlds best female in-shore pilots including Bimba Sjoholm of Sweden, Marie-Line Otr of France and Canadian Tammy Wolf have come together to form the greatest international all-female racing teams to compete at this event. This Internationally renowned competition is part of the World Long Distance Championship (www.24heuresrouen.com) held, May 26, 27, and 28, 2012 and includes over three day’s of competition. International media will join over 400,000 spectators, who travel from around the world to watch this historical event and this team. Bimba Sjoholm grew up in a racing family, both her father and brother race powerboats. In 1995 she started her career in this extremely challenging sport. Marie-Line started racing in 1987 and has achieved over 50 podium finished in her racing career. For the last 15 years, Marie-line has raced in Rouen and is one of only a few drivers that have competed in each different class in this event. Throughout the season, Marie-Line competes internationally in Class 1 (Formula 4), Class 2 (S2000) and Class 3 (F1000). Along with numerous titles and championships Marie-line racing resume includes 3rd place World Championship Formula 4 X three times 3rd place in Europe Championship Formula 4 2nd place World Championship of Endurance category S2000/Formula 2 3rd place in the Championship of France X 5 times 2nd place in the Championship of France X 2 More information on Marie-Line here Powerboat racing has been Tammy's Wolf's life passion. Her father worked for Mercury Marine and her brother raced boats. Tammy started racing at age 18, now after 15 years of experience in numerous different classes such as Formula V, SST 90 and Formula 3 there’s no doubt that she one of the top competitors in the circuit. Under the guidance of her crew chief, Sam Haraway and with her incredible crew, in 2011 the team won the title of Divisional Champion. In 2010, the team won US-2 (was ranked second in the USA) and second place in series points.
