Cas and Jonesy have finally put another foot forth in their Antarctic journey. After a fourteen day hold up in South America due to bad weather, the duo are at last en route to Antarctica!
by Cas and Jonesy
The delay hasn't impacted too much on their timings- they still have 90 days to ski unsupported from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole and then back! The long wait has given them a chance to rest up, fatten up and now they're feeling more psyched and ready than ever to do Australia proud! The plan is to spend approximately one day at the Antarctic base (Union Glacier) before chartering a small plane to fly them to the start point of their epic journey.
The boys will have live tracking on their website
accompanied by constant updates, podcasts and the occasional video! The first ten days are expected to be the most brutal of the entire expedition (150kg heavy sleds, steep gradient and brutal cold) so the boys will really appreciate some support! Feel free to send them some encouragement on Facebook
they will be getting the messages!
