After 67 days at sea, dodging more than 1,500 whales and 134 turtles, travelling 10,100km, using 7,500 litres of fuel, catching 52 fish for dinner and suffering 57 sandfly bites, the Jenkins brothers will finally make it home.

Peter and Phillip Jenkins will finish their Australian-first expedition of travelling ‘over the top’ of Australia’s coastline in an 8.6m rigid inflatable boat, commonly referred to as a ‘rubber ducky’, this Thursday 6 October 2011, arriving at Fremantle Heads at 11.00am before celebrating their homecoming at Royal Perth Yacht Club, Crawley.

As a prostate cancer survivor, skipper Mr Peter Jenkins created the adventure to raise funds and awareness of prostate cancer and men’s health across Australia.

Each year close to 3000 Australian men die from prostate cancer, equal to the number of women who die from breast cancer.

'Too many Australian men die each year from prostate cancer… it’s one of the most common cancers in men in Australia, second only to skin cancer, yet it’s rarely spoken about,' Honda Over The Top skipper Mr Jenkins said.

The Expedition began at the Sydney International Boat Show on 1 August 2011.
