Offshore Superboat Championships Newcastle win to Maritimo

Offshore Superboat Championships 2011 Maritimo wins class 1 at Newcastle.

Team Maritimo Offshore battled the wild ocean to take first place at the first round of the championships at Newcastle, with Jaeger Group retiring after two laps followed by Mustang on lap 11. It was a battle to finish the race on the shorted storm course.

The SuperCat class The Good Guys were 'Flying' in the rough conditions to take first place.

Supercat 600hp had a great battle between the 4 boats in the class of Berwicks, SUV Dodge Ram, Saracen & Kwoozy for four laps there was a boat length between them with Berwicks and SUV Dodge Ram having issues and retirering after four laps with Saracen taking the win and Kwozzy taking the second.

Supercat 400hp was a fight with FGI and Hogs Breath with Fgi and their new boat taking first place.
