UIM Class 1 World Powerboat Championship season-opener will be hosted by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, 13-15 April, after a revision to the 2011 calendar.

Abu Dhabi first hosted a round of the Championship in 2009. Last year, Team Abu Dhabi’s Rashed Al Tayer and John Tomlinson took their first win together on home waters.

Details about the Dubai Grand Prix will be announced shortly.

2011 calendar:
14/15 April - Abu Dhabi, UAE
16/17 July - Arendal, Norway
24/25 September - Stresa, Italy
22/23 October - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (tbc)
1/2 December - Abu Dhabi, UAE
