The staff at Gold Coast luxury boat builder Riviera came together today for a barbecue and a beer to celebrate the launch of the company’s new 70-foot luxury cruiser.

They packed into the company’s new $3.6 million Aftermarket centre in bright sunshine to listen to CEO Wes Moxey share recent feedback from Dealers

'Our Dealers and our owners are writing to congratulate us on the ever increasing quality of our boats.

'Quality people build quality boats and I thank every one of you for your effort,' he said.

He said that larger boats continue to attract strong interest.

'The new Riviera 70 behind us is a great example. It’s the largest production luxury boat ever built in Australia. We have already sold five of this new model and it has yet to be launched. Its official release is at the Sydney Boat Show at the end of the month.'

Mr Moxey said the company expected a strong result at the Sydney show following a successful Sanctuary Cove Show.

'We sold 26 boats at that show,' he told staff. 'And sales following on have been strong. Our 51 Series II Enclosed Flybridge has achieved 10 sales since the show.'
