Australia’s largest luxury boat builder, Riviera, launched its new flagship 70 Enclosed Flybridge on the weekend, preparing for its first sea trials on Queensland’s Gold Coast Broadwater.

The giant boat, the largest production pleasure cruiser ever built in Australia, was trailered through the Riviera factory in Coomera before first light on Saturday and launched in front of Riviera’s new Aftermarket facility.

Project Manager Paul Wrench declared himself well satisfied with the operation.

'Everything went exactly to plan,' he said. 'Now we undertake final detailing and sea trials before the boat heads to the Sydney International Boat Show late next month.'

Already Riviera has taken orders for five of the $4.75 million boats. With four cabins and four bathrooms, a massive saloon and flybridge, the Riviera 70 can comfortably sleep 10 people on an extended cruise.
