Batemans Bay, approximately 282 km south of Sydney and 130 km South East of Canberra, will have a new Marina that will bring business and the public together with a myriad of services.

The local boating fraternity and business community will rejoice at new amenities and a complete overhaul of the NSW south coast’s favourite fishing and boating paradise.

The 12.3 ha site comprises 126 wet berth marina accommodating vessels up to 12 m in length. The site also includes a slipway, hardstand maintenance area, refuelling facilities and a marine service maintenance workshop.

It is hoped the $60 million redevelopment will become a destination in itself, creating employment and economic growth, as well as bringing new investment into the region.

Ariadne Australia Ltd has a Head of Agreement with the Department of Lands. The proposal envisages a new 240 wet berth marina, a 250 vessel drystack facility, a commercial precinct providing services such as a chandlery, cafes, restaurants and tourism related business, as well as a tourist accommodation precinct.

The completion of the Heads of Agreement will now allow Ariadne to access the boat harbour to undertake geotechnical investigations to finalise plans for the site.
