Sail-World.com : Tinnie and Tackle Show this Anzac Day Long weekend

Tinnie and Tackle Show this Anzac Day Long weekend

'Tinnies, tackle, life jackets or sunglasses, visitors to the Tinnie and Tackle segment of the Camping and Outdoors Expo will find exhibits of interest at every turn. - Tinnie and Tackle'
The Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show, staged as a component of the National Four Wheel Drive and Outdoors Expo, has increased exhibitor interest over the ’07 line up, with more than 180 committing to the four-day extravaganza.

Scheduled for the ANZAC Day long weekend at the Royal Exhibition Grounds, better known as ‘the Ekka’, the show will be open 9am to 6pm on Thursday and Saturday, 9am to 5pm on Sydney and, in respect of ANZAC Day, will open at 1pm through to 6pm on the Friday.

Personalities attending include Gold Coast Titans rugby league star Matt Rogers and members of Australia’s Olympic beach volleyball team.

As the name implies, show visitors will be treated to an extensive range of trailer boats, aluminium and ‘glass models, supported by the largest array of fishing tackle and general boating accessories one is ever likely to encounter.

Jason Plant, from Marine Queensland, organiser of the show, said an imposing line up of guest speakers would present as range of subjects to interest anglers ranging from the rank beginner to the highly experienced.

“Taking into account the other sectors of the show, the 4 x 4 and the Outdoor Expo, this is a real bonanza for all who love the great outdoors,” he added.

“All the guest presenters involved boast a wide spread of expertise and the end result will help boat owners achieve more when enjoying their favourite past time on the water.”

Other show highlights will include demonstrations involving the latest four-wheel drive vehicles, how to catch and recognise various fish species, wildlife presentations, demonstrations on knot tying, baiting and casting.

“Frankly, for trailer boat and four wheel drive owners and campers, this exhibition is an absolute must,” Jason Plant added.
