With the ever strengthening Australia dollar, you'd think exporting luxury powever boats would be very hard. But plainly Auistralia's Riviera, the largest largest luxury boat builder in the southern hemisphere is buiding very attractive boats.

It has recently completed a significant overseas shipment of 11 boats valued at more than $14 million..

The boats, ranging from a 33 Open Flybridge to three 56 Open Flybridge models, were lifted on board the giant cargo ship Cap Mondego in Brisbane. Most of the shipment is for clients in Europe, with a 4700 Sport Yacht bound for the United States, unloading in Savannah, Georgia.

The 33 Open Flybridge is bound for Belgium while the remainder will be unloaded in ports on the Mediterranean including the three 56 Open Flybridge models, one headed for the company’s Dealer at Barcelona in Spain, one to France and one to Italy.

Other models in the shipment include two 45 Open Flybridge models with moulded staircase, a new 48 Offshore Express, a 4400 Sport Yacht with Volvo IPS propulsion, a 47 Series II Enclosed Flybridge and 51 Flybridge.

David Taylor, Riviera’s Director Sales & Marketing for Europe operations, said: 'We have worked very hard with our Dealers throughout Europe and their support has been strong. I am pleased with the acceptance of our entire range, from Flybridge to Sport Yachts and the new Offshore Express models.'

Riviera's latest product range will be on display at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

The Gold Coast based company will unveil the luxurious Riviera 61 Enclosed Flybridge with four cabins, three bathrooms and a massive ‘entertainer’ flybridge.

A second world release is the 38 Open Flybridge while the Show sees the Australian debut of the sport utility 48 Offshore Express. 'Fascination IV' is an enclosed hardtop version of this new craft, fully equipped for big game fishing.

Queenslanders will also have their chance to see the Riviera 4400 Sport Yacht with Volvo Penta IPS propulsion.

Riviera CEO Wes Moxey said that the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation and development is paying dividends for the company. 'Our new models are well accepted in all markets worldwide.'
