Fast action, high speeds and plenty of thrills in Whitianga New Zealand for round six of the Cougar Marine / Inex Metals NZ Offshore Powerboat Championship today.

Phillip Hoskyn captured the action as these impressive looking boats roared around the harbour at more than 100mph as they battled for both line and overall national honours.

The race course has large ocean swells so it provided for exciting racing, with over 40 boats over all the classes over both 60 mile and 100 mile courses.
