Hundreds of high-class power and sail, new and used, private, charter and classic vessels from New Zealand and around the world will once again be on display for the Auckland International Boat Show 2008.

Held over four days from 6th to 9th March 2008, this on-the-water exhibition will display the best of New Zealand's marine technology , engineering and innovation. Located at the beautiful Viaduct Harbour, the boat show will make use of the floating marina first developed as the base for the 2000 and 2003 America's Cups which joins Te Wero Island and the Viaduct Harbour Marine Village. With stunning views out to the Hauraki Gulf and fringed by seaside restaurants , bars and world class hotels , this is the perfect location to showcase the best of what New Zealand's marine industry has to offer.

Export driven and customer focused, New Zealand's marine industry has enjoyed record growth since 1994. Total industry turnover is estimated at $1.8 billion annually with exports of $535 million forecast to double over the next five years. As a result, the Auckland International Boat Show has enjoyed a substantial increase in registrations from international and local contingents since its conception. The Auckland International Boat Show 2007 attracted an increase of 5% of visitors and had over 200 exhibitors and more than 200 boats on display , making this event par with any international boat show in the Southern Hemisphere.

Since the successful merger of IMTEC Marine Equipment Show with the Marine Industry Association's On Water Boat Show, the Auckland International Boat Show has grown to be a major international marine exhibition , helping keep the international spotlight focused on New Zealand's growing marine industry.

The Auckland International Boat Show is a full member of the International Federation of Boat Show Organisers (IFBSO) and is now recognised as one of the top 40 boat shows in the world.
