After a glorious week on the waters of Port Phillip and Corio Bay in Melbourne and Geelong, we have ventured north to the Gold Coast.

What do we find... belting rain, cyclone surges and closed beaches.

Our Powerboat Editor Bob Wonders lives on the Gold Coast and he usually follows the propaganda line about 'beautiful one day and perfect the next.'

He won’t tell you so we will. Seven days ago Bob took delivery of his new Harley Dyna-Super Glide Custom 1584 cc motor cycle.

Has the weather been perfect? 'Well …' says Bob as he starts on the official line.

Actually, Queensland weather has been awful all summer and certainly this last week.

How do we know? Simple, look at odometer on 'the new toy' - 47km. The case rests.

During the week if the sun shines we will provide pix of Bob and his Sunset Yellow Pearl Harley.
