2008 sees the launch of the Sydney Fishing Festival to be held on the Easter Weekend in Sydney NSW with the fishing competition starting midnight, Friday 21st to 4.00 pm Sunday 23rd March 2008. Fishing Arena is the Recreational Fishing Haven of Botany Bay and its tributaries'. A number of large Marquee's will be on site housing both recreational boating and fishing products. Every Senior entry has a chance of winning this fantastic Allycraft Kakadu Karrier 4.65 on a Dunbier trailer, powered by an Evinrdue E-TEC 60hp, fitted out by Blakes Marine, ready for fishing with Lowrance sounders and stocked with Shimano and Squidgy products! FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES Activities will be held all days including BBQ,s, bar facilities, etc. Kids Casting Competitions Boating demonstrations Face painting Fishing demonstrations Open Fishing Competition Bream Tournament Free entry to Festival area. The Fishos have been located in Brighton for the past 50 years, providing anglers with a safe destination to moor their boats and an easy access trailer boat ramp with ample parking close at hand. The club has regular fishing competitions every month, with prizes for both senior and junior anglers, inside and outside fishing.
