The 20th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show has drawn 107 world and Australian marine product releases in an exciting lead up to the May event. The 2008 Show, from Thursday, May 22 to Sunday, May 25 has 439 confirmed exhibitors booked for on-water, pavilion and open-air displays.

There are more than 390 boats on water alone – stretching 5.1km when placed end-to-end; plus hundreds more boats and marine products on display in four large pavilions and through the waterfront Marine Village hardstand areas.
'We are delighted that so many companies have chosen Sanctuary Cove as the site for their world or regional marine product launches,' said Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show general manager Barry Jenkins.
He expects final exhibitor numbers will approach or even surpass the 2007 record of 456.
'Not only do we have exhibitors from China, Taiwan and New Zealand, we also have many senior executives from Asia, the US and Europe attending the event to support their Australian or Australasian distributors.'
Known as the place ‘Where the Marine Business Does Business’, this year’s Boat Show is no exception with international buyer groups scheduled to visit.

Austrade Marine representatives will accompany overseas buyers from Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, China, United Arab Emirates and Thailand.
In new developments for the 20th anniversary show, Sanctuary Cove has launched an online Boat Show admission ticket facility.
Visitors can now purchase One-day or Four-Day passes directly from the website of www.sanctuarycoveboatshow.com.au
Online ticketing follows the launch last month of an accommodation booking service via the Boat Show website. Year-round, exhibitors or visitors can search more than 100,0000 accommodation options worldwide via the Global Accommodation Search system.
'These new services reinforce Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show’s status as a leading marine event in the Asia-Pacific region,' said Mr Jenkins.
In some highlights for the 2008 event, Activa Marina is launching the 5300 Raised Pilothouse in a world launch
while Yachting Unlimited is showing the Ferretti 780 Hard Top and 830 Hard Top in Australian debuts. Australian exporter Maritimo is displaying a Cabriolet 60 in a world launch along with the new Maritimo 50 SportFish and the Maritimo 48 Sky Lounge while Nautilus Marine Brokerage is showcasing the 76ft Amalfi Motor Yacht.
Sunseeker is showcasing a range of luxury vessels with the national launch of the Manhattan 70, a highlight amongst a flotilla of eight models in a stand out $A25 million display while Horizon Boats International showcases four models - the 65ft, 73ft and 98ft Horizons plus the 68ft Vision.
Power vessels under 50ft include the Australian release of the Arrowcat 30; new Atomix models; the national unveiling of the Back Cove 33 and world launches of Pegiva’s Eclipse, a 10.1m vessel and the Eureka 42 blue water flybridge sports fishing cruiser.
In sail, the Catalina Morgan 440, a pilothouse styled yacht is launched in Australia. European and US sail brands are prominent the Australian launch of Jeanneau’s Sun Odyssey 45 Deck Saloon; the launch of the Hunter 45DS in Australia and the national debut of Nautitech’s N44 and N40 catamarans.
As in past years, there is no onsite general public parking at Sanctuary Cove. However streamlined transport options make it easy to get to the Show with Park ‘n’ Ride; limousine and taxi drop off and water taxi and ferry transfers plus train connections.
