PredictWind.com is forecasting a healthy seabreeze for the opening day of the Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta, being sailed at the 2012 Olympic venue.
Just under 1,000 sailors representing 57 nations will compete in 10 classes in the Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta which gets underway off Weymouth UK, today.
The event is the first taste for many crews of the conditions they can expect in the 2012 Olympic regatta in the same venue.
According to PredictWind the competitors will enjoy a stark change in conditions from those which prevailed in Qingdao for much of the 2008 Olympics.
