Colin Bransgrove has been appointed Executive Officer of the Marina Industries Association of Australia (MIAA). This is a new position within MIAA.

The appointment reflects the strong growth of MIAA as the peak body in Australia for marina owners and operators of berthing, mooring and storage and slipway/workshop facilities connected to sailing, cruising and general boating.

MIAA President Jeff d'Albora said the appointment of an Executive Officer to MIAA was part of MIAA's plan to expand member services and increase the leadership role of MIAA in the development of the marina industry in Australia.
'Colin brings strong association management skills to MIAA. He has extensive experience within the tourism industry. He has held senior positions within both the private and public sectors in the areas of business development; strategic planning and marketing.'

Mr Bransgrove said he was looking forward to working with the Board, members and wider stakeholders in implementing the MIAA's business plan. 'It is an exciting time to be joining MIAA. The foundations are very solid to enable sustained growth of the association.'
