The sole victor emerging from the second annual Ukraine Grand Prix was Mother Nature as torrential rain, strong winds and heavy swells forced the stoppage of the third round of the UIM F1 H20 World Championship after five slow pace laps and will resume tomorrow morning at 11:00 local time with 32 laps remaining.
'The first order is always safety for everyone involved,' said UIM F1 H2O Promotor Nicolo di San Germano.
'After discussions with the UIM Race Commissioner and then passing this information on to Anatoliy Prysyazhnyuk the Kiev Regional State Administrative Chairman the race was stopped and will resume tomorrow morning. This was the only thing to do in this situation.'
So, the schedule will be as follows: The Grand Prix of Ukraine at 11:00 local, 8:00 GMT and 4:00 EDT.
Followed by the 'President Cup' Match Race at 15:00 local, 12:00 GMT and 8:00 EDT in North America.
