F1 H20 World Champsionship - Often times in life, when you come so close to reaching your goal and then lose it all in one instant, it makes you stronger.

This is the philosophy that is driving Qatar Team’s leading driver Jay Price who led the 2010 UIM F1 H2O World Championship drivers standings going into the final weekend of last years series only to lose out to Finland’s Sami Selio of the Mad Croc Team in the last half of the race coming runner-up in the championship with 88 points just six back from the driver from Helsinki at the end campaign. Since those painful moments, he has been dedicated to do one thing, getting the title back for a second time.

'I have been focused on one thing this off season getting my title back,' stated the driver from New Orleans, Louisiana. 'It still hurts losing the title and I’m using this as my motivation to turn 2011 back into a season that will be one I’ll long remember as my redemption.'

Jay been a constantly in communication with principal members of the organization starting with Team Manager Khalid Al Kuwari who despite sits more than 12,000 kilometers away in Doha, planning strategy and fine tuning their multi-international group effort consisting of personnel from Qatar, U.S.A., Italy and Australia working for one goal in bringing the title back to the Qatar Marine Sports Federation (QMSF).

On the other side of the Atlantic Ocean Jay works closely with engine guru Troy Woods who works from his marine operation in Clearwater, Florida as he continues to get all the pieces in the puzzle in place for the upcoming 2011 campaign.

'We learned a lot from last year,' said native Australian. 'Now we think we’ve got what it takes to complete the job this time around as I have complete faith in Khalid and everyone in Doha as well as my two drivers to make this a memorable year that’s just weeks away.'

The 2011 UIM F1 H2O World Championship opens up in the teams headquarters on Doha Bay on the edge of the Persian Gulf for the ninth Grand Prix of Qatar on the fourth and fifth of March. It marks the second time in the history of the event that it is the opening event of a race calendar doing the same at the start of the 2006 season with Italian Ivan Brigada winning for the first time in his career against then three time World Champion Scott Gillman who would go on that season to win the title for his final time with Team Abu Dhabi.

'We are hungry to get the title back,' stated Price. 'I just feel that everyone on this team is dedicated to get both the Team Championship and World Drivers Championship trophy’s in the case in the main lobby of the QMSF headquarters by December 17th of this year. This is our ultimate goal as we take it to the top in 2011.'

Jay is the defending champion of the Grand Prix of Qatar winning last year from pole position for his ninth career victory. Only 10-time World Champion Guido Cappellini of Italy has won back to back events in Doha, will this be Jay’s year, only time will tell. As always, stay tuned.
